Chocolate and nuts - Easy and delicious

HL5A0497

Today I made some pretty easy delicious little chocolates. They where so good, just needed to share this delicious simple candy with everyone! They are made in about 10 minutes, though you need to wait for about an hour before you can eat them.

Ingredients.

for 15 pc.

HL5A0416

2  Handfuls of chocolate drops*.

2 Handfuls of a nut-mix you like (I used hazelnut, walnut and raisins).

1 Pan with water.

1 Bowl that is able to resist heat.

That’s literary it!

* if you can’t find chocolate drops, use pieces of normal chocolate bars (it melts less quick).

How its made.

First, you need to melt the chocolate ‘au bain Marie’. Literally translated from French: ‘In Maries bath’. Which basically means you need to heat up a pan with water, don’t boil it. Put in your heat-proof bowl and melt your chocolate in it.

After your chocolate is completely melted, take a tablespoon and make nice little drops on a piece of baking paper (do you call it baking paper? It sounds really weird…I don’t know, how do you call that greased paper for baking?).  Make the drops about 3 cm wide. Then wait about an hour. Don’t try to put hem in your fridge, there will get condensation on your chocolates, you don’t want that.

After an hour they should be ready to eat!

Enjoy!

Lemon cookies

It has been a rainy Sunday all day here in Holland… A rainy day asks for tea and cookies. So I went brainstorming on a new recipe on cookies. This one is inspired by shortbread. But I changed it here and there.

cookie

Se here is how I made them:

Ingredients:

1 lemon

90 gr. powdered sugar

250 gr. flower

175 gr. butter

1 egg yolk

1 egg

Rasp the lemon skin in a bowl. Put in the butter and sugar. Mix it for a while. Then put in one egg yolk and the flower (be careful, put it one spoon at a time). Mix everything until you have a nice dough.

koekjePut the though in the fridge for about 20 minutes. In the mean time, you can clean up the kitchen and put some flower on the worktop. Heat you oven at 190 degrees Celsius.

Take out the dough and flatten it until its about 0,5 cm thick.

Take out circles (about 5 cm) from your dough. place them on your oven plate.

Take the other egg end beat it up a little, then add a little bit of the egg on the top of the cookies.

Put them in the oven for about 8-10 minutes, then take them out and wait 5 minutes before eating them.

They where delicious!

Have fun making them yourself!

The perfect cookies recipe.

So While learning, I love to drink coffee or tea with a jummy cookie . Unfortunately I drink tea or coffee all the time and eating a cookie every time is not really good for you. So I make myself a big bowl of carrots and cucumber to snack  from. It’s delicious and good for you!
Not today though. I had baked cookies yesterday and had them with my coffee! It was one of the first times I baked these ones. Its my own recipe. Now I don’t know if these cookies exist already… So I thought I could share it! Now go bake them yourself cause they are delicious! They taste like caramel with cinnamon.

OH! And it takes you only about 30 minutes to make the dough AND bake them!

kletskoppen

So here is what you need:

50 grams butter.
110 grams brown caster sugar.
50 grams flower.
1 teaspoon cinnamon.
Put the butter in the microwave for about 10 seconds (it has to be soft, not melted). Then mix the butter sugar and cinnamon together. While mixing everything, put a spoon of flower into the bowl until you used up all the flower. Then put everything in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes. In the mean time you can clean up the mess you’ve made of your kitchen and pre-heat the oven at 200 degrees Celsius (if you live in a country that uses Fahrenheit, click here to see what temperature you need)
If your kitchen is completely blinking, get your bowl out of the fridge. Grease your baking tray. pick up small parts of your dough and make small round marbles of them. (Yes that small!). Place them on your tray, about 8cm from each other, then put them in your oven (if its heated enough) Wait for about 6 minutes. Then take out the cookies and let them cool down for 1-2 minutes. Then you can take them of the tray and place them on a flat surface. You can also roll them up or make any kind of shape. then let them cool down even more for about 3 minutes. VOILA! your cookies are ready to eat!

Most easy cookies EVER!

Have fun making them…. but have even more fun eating them of course!
